HistoricalErotica was established in 2001 with the goal of being the premiere site for classic erotica on the web. We included softcore and hardcore erotica ranging from the birth of erotic art in the BC era to around the 1970s, with an emphasis on photography from the late 1800s to the mid-1950s.

After a successful run of four years, HE was sold in 2005. Unfortunately, the new owners weren't able to invest the resources necessary to keep it alive, much less expand the site, and it disappeared around 2006.

This year we regained control, and are preparing to re-launch HE with new content and a new user paradigm. While all the still images – and more – that were available on the original site will be part of the new experience, we'll be adding a new emphasis on videos, with lots of great vintage erotica.

The other big change will be in our subscription model, which we believe will be unique amongst adult sites: The subscription will be a one-time, single charge that will cover a lifetime membership. No re-billing, no monthly fees, period.

We hope to be online with the new site by April of 2001 (maybe sooner). Please check back for our grand re-opening.
